Liselunds Iscider
Liselunds Cider was founded in 2022 by Maria and Anders Wingren and is based at the farm of the same name. With a unique terroir where they grow their apples, they strive to create an exceptional Ice Cider. Cold winters and the summer light produce unique apples for the exclusive ice wine, known as Iscider.
The first vintage, "Fari 22", was released in the fall of 2023, and the second vintage, "24", was launched in four different shades for sale in November 2024. Liselunds Cider is unique in Finland by growing, pressing, and freezing their own apples on the farm in natural cold, ensuring a natural and authentic taste in their products.
The company combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative methods to create products of the highest quality.
Our Iscider is made from Finnish apples. The juice is frozen in natural cold, slowly thawed, and transformed into a sweet and flavorful ice wine.
Ice wine is made by pressing apples and then freezing the juice. As the apple juice thaws, the water is separated from the sugar, which results in a higher concentration of sugar, creating a sweeter juice. This concentrated juice can then ferment into an ice wine, an Iscider, to produce an apple-based ice wine. Apple ice wine is a delicious and unique drink that is perfect to serve as a dessert wine, as an aperitif, or simply to enjoy on its own.
Our craft cider is allowed to ferment slowly at a cool temperature to bring out a higher character in the cider. We want to let the flavors of the different apples develop and contribute their full aroma to the Iscider.
